Senior Level Executive Award
Dr. Donald Peace, Regent for South Carolina for the American College of Healthcare Executive (ACHE) awarded Mr. William Kenley the Senior Level Executive Award on February 6, 2023 at the February Board of Director’s Meeting at AnMed Health.
Dr. Peace indicated that this award is one of two that he has the honor and privilege of providing annually. The first being the Early Careerist Award and the second is the Senior Level Executive Award. In Peace’s final year serving as Regent for the Board of Governors for the ACHE he has looked forward to this opportunity to make this award to Mr. Kenley.
The basis for the Senior Level Executive Award is based upon the following criteria. The executive must be a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, a CEO, COO, or other senior-level executive title within the organization, demonstration of leadership ability, demonstration of innovative and creative management, possess executive capability in developing his or her organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community, contributions to the development of others in the healthcare profession, demonstration of leadership in local, state, or provincial hospital and health association activities, participation in civic/community activities and projects, and finally; demonstration of participation in ACHE activities and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.
Dr. Peace stated that after looking statewide, he was honored to be able to provide the Senior Level Executive Award to Mr. Kenley, an executive certainly deserving of this award.
Convocation Day at the American College of Healthcare Executives
Congratulations to South Carolina's newest Fellows in the American College of Healthcare Executives. New Fellows in this Convocation year include: Wayne F. Fraleigh, FACHE, Kandi Fredere, Ph.D., FACHE, Samantha E. Griner, FACHE, Pamela Murphy, Ph.D., APRN, FACHE, Kolby T. Redd, Ph.D., FACHE, Sabrina Robinson, FACHE, Laura R. Sample, FACHE and Brian Walker, DO., FACHE. In the ceremony today was Sabrina Robinson, FACHE and Laura Sample, FACHE both from the MUSC Network. Congrats again! This is a huge accomplishment.

2023 Early Careerist Award
Dr. Donald Peace, Regent for South Carolina for the American College of Healthcare Executive (ACHE) awarded Mr. Carl Kennedy the 2023 Early Careerist Award on February 7, 2023.
Dr. Peace indicated that this award is one of two that he has the honor and privilege of providing annually. The first being the Early Careerist Award and the second is the Senior Level Executive Award. In Peace’s final year serving as Regent for the Board of Governors for the ACHE he considers it an honor to award Mr. Kennedy with this award. Mr. Kennedy has years of experience that certainly exemplifies what it means to be a leader in healthcare. He currently serves as Global Chief of Strategy with Medidata, Dassault System. He has previous experiences as General Manager and Managing Director with GE Healthcare, Leader, Coach and Speaker as well as Managing Consultant with Huron Consulting Group, Director of GetWellNetwork, Inc. and other key position in academia and business at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
The basis for the Early Careerist Award is based upon the following criteria. The executive must be a member in the American College of Healthcare Executives, demonstration of leadership ability, demonstration of innovative and creative management, possess executive capability in developing his or her organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community, contributions to the development of others in the healthcare profession, participation in local, state, or provincial hospital and health association activities, participation in civic/community activities and projects, and finally; demonstration of participation in ACHE activities and interest in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.
Dr. Peace stated that Mr. Kennedy is certainly a dynamic leader who possesses many skills as an executive. His organizational leadership ability and his service to the SC ACHE Board of Director’s make him the perfect candidate for the 2023 Early Careerist Award.
Karen Schwartz - New Regent
Congratulation Karen Schwartz, FACHE on your new role as Regent to the American College of Healthcare Executives. Your will be awesome in this new role.
2023 Regent's Leadership Conference (March 18-19) is underway in Chicago as part of the 2023 Congress on Healthcare Leadership (March 20-23, 2023).
As the outgoing Regent for South Carolina, it is my pleasure to be here in support of our new Regent, Karen Schwartz of Bon Secours-Mercy Health in Greenville, South Carolina. Karen was elected as Regent in the Fall, 2022 and will serve a three year term beginning today (March 18). Karen is an outstanding healthcare executive and I'm confident will serve the healthcare executives of South Carolina well. She is smart, funny, and brings years of experience to this role. Karen previously served as President of the South Carolina Chapter and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
As outgoing Regent, It has been my most sincere pleasure to serve in this role. What an experience and what a pleasure. I will continue to serve on the Board of the South Carolina Chapter Board if I can ever be of services to our healthcare executive community.
