Mentor Progam

SCACHE uses documents and guidelines from the national ACHE Mentoring Program as well as other NC Chapter Mentoring Programs. Our program is very flexible and can occur throughout the calendar year, but we encourage participation through virtual calls with other mentors/proteges twice throughout an annual 6 month timeframe from September to March of the group program.
The mentoring program is scheduled as a 6 month program between the mentor and the protégé or mentoree. Matching the right mentor to the needs of the protégé is a priority and if not meeting the needs of the protégé can be changed. Many mentors and protégés continue their relationship longer than 6 months and can decide how they want to proceed at their convenience during or at the conclusion of the program.

Are you seeking to maximize your impact as a leader? Our mentees achieve goals such as building professional self-confidence, sharpening critical thinking skills, increasing professional visibility and executive presence, and clarifying long-term career goals. Under our biannual cohort model, up to 300 mentees will have the opportunity to be matched per year.

To be eligible to participate in our next cohort you must apply before Sept. 30, 2024.

Become a Mentor

We make it easy for you to give back to the healthcare profession by supporting a mentee. Your partner will be carefully matched to align with your background. For six months, you have the option to conveniently meet virtually on your terms. Our mentors often find they receive as much as they give. If you're a healthcare leader with at least five years of experience, this opportunity is for you.
